What are our Core Aims and Objectives?

Our overall core aims and objectives are set out in our Constitution. An excerpt of this is set out below.

The prevention or relief of poverty

by providing information, advice, guidance, assistance and support to men (and their partners and dependents where applicable) who are at risk of falling into poverty or are in a state of poverty as a result of one or more identified hardships; and
to offer and provide information, advice, guidance and assistance and support with a view to helping to alleviate the distress and hardship suffered by men (and their partners and dependents where applicable) as a consequence of the breakdown of family relationships

the advancement of health

by providing information, advice, guidance, assistance, support and encouragement to those men whose health and well-being may have been adversely affected, impaired or otherwise compromised as a result of one or more identified health issue or associated hardship

The advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation

by providing information, advice, guidance, assistance, support, encouragement and hope to men affected by hardship, particularly in relation to the breakdown of relationships, especially where there are children involved

the relief of those men in need

by reason of ill-health, family and/or relationship breakdown, financial hardship, false allegations, deprivation of fathers’ rights or any other reason of hardship by offering and providing information, advice, guidance, assistance, support, encouragement and hope to those men affected by any such hardship by way of a comprehensive website, including (but not limited to) relevant information, advice, guidance, written articles, case studies, news and developments, an interactive online forum and the dissemination of relevant information pertaining to the aims, objectives and activities of the charity

And, as well as the above, to carry out such activities which may be ancillary to the foregoing objects of the charity, including (but not limited to) conducting the following general activities:-

  • the advancement of education by raising awareness in the UK and elsewhere of certain hardships faced by men in the areas of: health, relationships, financial difficulties, legal matters including fathers’ rights and educating men on ways in which they can endure and overcome such hardships, all implemented by way of a comprehensive website, written articles and case studies, the dissemination of information pertaining to same and hosting seminars to relevant groups
  • the advancement of religion by encouraging and promoting men affected by hardship towards forms of worship or reverence to a supreme God and creator in ways relatable and suitable to them, in line with practices associated with established religions
  • to encourage the prevention of discrimination against men on the grounds of gender so far as such discrimination is unlawful
